Writing an annotated custom peptide sequence
An annotated sequence reduces ambiguity before feasibility review.

An annotated sequence reduces ambiguity before feasibility review.
Include the chemistry
Write the residues in a clear convention and specify terminal groups. Identify non-standard residues, stereochemistry, attachment sites and cyclic connections. If notation could be interpreted in several ways, add a structure sketch or supporting reference. A peptide name alone may not define the requested product.
Connect the sequence to deliverables
Include amount, target material form, purity target and analytical needs. Explain the intended research context and any handling constraints. Keep a version number for the approved sequence so that a revision can be distinguished from the original enquiry and from subsequent sampling work.
Review checklist
- Sequence with an identified notation
- N- and C-terminal forms
- Modification sites and stereochemistry
- Amount, material form and purity target
- Approved version and change history
Include this in your enquiry
Send the precise material or project identity, target amount and destination, together with the questions in this checklist. State which requirements are fixed and which need technical review. The team can then confirm the relevant document or development scope. Keep the agreed requirements with the quotation and project reference.
