RESEARCH GUIDE

From prototype to manufacturing specification

An approved sample needs an approved specification and review record.

From prototype to manufacturing specification illustrative research scene

An approved sample needs an approved specification and review record.

Record what was approved

Identify the sample, formula or sequence version, container and tests used for approval. A photograph alone cannot capture every relevant attribute. Keep the acceptance decision connected with the technical specification so that later production has a clear reference.

Review changes before transfer

Scale, process, composition or packaging changes may need additional assessment. Agree which attributes must be maintained and which results require confirmation. Manufacturing handover should define records, deviations, acceptance and communication responsibilities rather than assuming the prototype answers every production question.

Review checklist

  • Approved sample and version
  • Technical specification
  • Acceptance results and limitations
  • Changes requiring review
  • Production documentation and responsibilities

Include this in your enquiry

Send the precise material or project identity, target amount and destination, together with the questions in this checklist. State which requirements are fixed and which need technical review. The team can then confirm the relevant document or development scope. Keep the agreed requirements with the quotation and project reference.
