Oral pouch development brief
A pouch request should specify composition, substrate and container requirements.

A pouch request should specify composition, substrate and container requirements.
Describe the complete pouch
Provide the intended fill composition, pouch dimensions and substrate constraints. Identify sensory or packaging objectives and the product category proposed for the target market. A pouch should not be treated as interchangeable with an oral film or an approved pharmaceutical preparation.
Plan the relevant evaluation
Set the tests needed for the formula, construction and package. Define what an approved prototype represents and what remains to be reviewed before later production. Avoid adding release or absorption statements to artwork without evidence for the actual design.
Review checklist
- Fill composition and substrate
- Pouch dimensions and quantity basis
- Sensory objectives
- Container and sealing requirements
- Target-market review and testing scope
Include this in your enquiry
Send the precise material or project identity, target amount and destination, together with the questions in this checklist. State which requirements are fixed and which need technical review. The team can then confirm the relevant document or development scope. Keep the agreed requirements with the quotation and project reference.
