HPLC purity and peptide content
A chromatographic percentage and a content result are different specification attributes.

A chromatographic percentage and a content result are different specification attributes.
Ask what the reported percentage represents
A chromatographic purity result belongs to a defined method and sample. It should be interpreted with the separation and reporting basis used for that material. A percentage printed on a generic product image is not a substitute for the actual offered-lot report. Do not compare results solely because they share the same percent sign.
Set the attributes your research needs
If the research workflow depends on the amount of peptide present, discuss a content assessment and the material composition separately. Counter-ion, water and other components can matter to the agreed specification. State the analytical question and acceptance basis before requesting a test panel.
Review checklist
- Chromatographic method and reporting basis
- Peptide content requirement
- Counter-ion and composition questions
- Sample and lot identification
- Accepted methods and report format
Include this in your enquiry
Send the precise material or project identity, target amount and destination, together with the questions in this checklist. State which requirements are fixed and which need technical review. The team can then confirm the relevant document or development scope. Keep the agreed requirements with the quotation and project reference.
Explore analytical services or submit a research enquiry.
For a regulatory specification context, see ICH Q6B. Its formal scope should be assessed for the actual program; it is not a claim that every catalog material is regulated under that guideline.
